I liked the friendliness of the staff who did go that extra to help out. The bar food was reasonably priced for London and of good quality. The half price first drink was extremely welcomed after a long day.
Free wifi good. Breakfast adequate. Lots of seating in the lounge area.
Overall, as hostels go - fabulous experience. -

Excellent location. Very easy to find from Greenwich DLR station, so good public transport links into the centre, coupled with plenty to see and do in and around Greenwich itself.
Doesn't try to do too much, just concentrated on doing what it does well. And generally succeeds.

Location is very nice with things to do in Greenwich, very close to the DLR and railway for trips to London center.

Aberdeen Guest House is very convenient for Ilford station, which has excellent links to Liverpool Street (15 minutes). The owner is very friendly & helpful, and though breakfast isn't included milk, cereals and fruit juices are provided in the room. The tea & coffee in the room is not in sachets, much nicer !! Room wasn't en-suite but there are several spacious bathrooms - clean with plenty of hot water !

Mo at the reception is a really nice guy. We arrived early and he still made sure our room was available for us ASAP. We had a double room which was very nice and clean. The hostel had a lift which was amazing after spending a lot of time lugging bags up many flights of stairs.

The staff was incrediblly nice, everyone was very helpful and polite. There are bus stops in front of the building, the Rotherhithe underground station less than 10 minutes away, it's located in a residential zone so it's a very quiet and safe place. I asked them not to be on the first floor after reading the comments and they gave us a nice room on the upper floor. Receptionists are very kind. Nice bar just next door. Common kitchen on each floor. Good price for a nice stay. -
