  This is a very well run, comfortable motel with facilities more modern than most NZ motels I have been to. Management are very helpful with ideas for visiting the area and will book trips such as walks on the glaciers.   The staff/owner was the nicest lady we met on our entire trip. When she found out it was our honeymoon she put us in the nicest chalet away from everyone, with the best view of the mountains. She also called into the restaurant we were going to and bought us dessert! We loved our stay and will definitely return to JAG escape, Jo was so friendly, she had outstanding local knowledge and we were kept well informed of the Haast Pass closure information. The included breakfast was exceptional and had everything you could possible want. The room was lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable, I could have stayed forever! I think our favorite thing was that all the products eg: coffee, shampoo, soap etc were all NZ p

  We made a dinner booking with our room for 2013-02-09 through letsbookhotel.com on 2013-02-04. No dinner was booked. After a place was made for us at the last minute by a very attentive and thoughtful manager and staff, we did have a restricted menu meal. But unfortunately this was of less than average quality.
