  My husband and I spent 5 days at the Datai. I've stayed in many hotels over the years but I can honestly say, that I enjoyed my stay at the Datai more than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. I felt a sense of peace being close to nature and the sea. All the staff were wonderful and couldnt do enough to make our stay comfortable.   Best Seven motel was very nice. The Owner and his wife where very helpful with everything, they made our first visit to Langkawi memorable. The rooms where very clean and there was a steaming hot shower that was also very clean.   Beautifully appointed room, in a very serene setting. The fabulous pool with perfect temperature and gorgeous view is perfect for relaxing in the afternoon. We really had a great time and I definit - A lovely spot situated by the road but you cannot hear the traffic. It's approx 15 min walk to the beach & resort. We hired a car for 3 days, costing 300 MYR (£60) so that we got to see the island - it has beautiful beaches and the cable car ride is spectacular.   We liked everything! This is an amazing place to stay, and thoroughly relaxing. Each 'room' is a little house on stilts with its own balcony. Each one is unique. We liked having the very friendly cats around, Scrabble to play and a pool to swim in. Breakfast in your fridge makes for an extra relaxing stay (no schedule to stick to). The view over the water hole was particularly beautiful at sunset, and in the morning there were monitor lizards and kingfishers.
