  The rooms and balconies along with lower level day bed and table and chairs gave you options in and out of the sun while you were at your room. Gardens and pool were lovely. Eating out on Gili T was very reasonable, we were expecting it to be expensive because it's a small - We were at first put into accommodation known as a Lumbung these are cramped, dark and tiny with almost a ladder going from upper bedroom to the outdoor downstairs bathroom which is very steep. They are kind of a traditional Indo style place my friend and I decided this was not for us and asked to change the staff were most amenable and put us into a fab newer room one level with gorgeous outdoor bathroom.   As a 40+ solo traveller I enjoyed the comforts provided by Kaluku Bungalow including the king bed, air conditioning, and private outdoor shower and toilet which was beautifully designed with natural slate and stone. The views from the shore in front were very calming and relaxing. The Kaluku bungalows are not budget or backpacker accommodation for G - The bungalow is clean and nice. It is on the beach as all hotels on Gili island are. The shower and toilet are under the sky;) Breakfast is simple but nice. It's better to go to other places to swim and lay on the beach as there is no actually beach in front of the hotel and the sea is not deep enough. The island is perfect, it's like paradise!

  This resort is at the top of the island which while is about a 20 min walk into the town which is very dark at night ( take a torch), it does have the best snorkelling spot from the beach outside the hotel. The water was beautiful and clear and many many fish. We saw & swam with sea turtles just down a bit at coral beach. Food at Villa Grasia was OK, we had lunch t - We initially booked 2 nights but liked it so much we booked 2 additional nights. The staff is really nice, breakfast delicious, 4-5pm there is tea time with a delicious snack, the pool was great, beach also. Free beach beds, bikes to drive to the center and free towels. We loved the fact that is was a 5-10 min bike ride to the 'center', where all restaurants are. Tip for a good Italian place is Blu d'mare and a little bit more expensive but also great is Ko-Ko-Mo.

  A rather rustic place. Staff were friendly, always smiling. The villa is not at the town centre (which is good because the town can get noisy at night),it is slightly further in and takes about 20 minutes to get there by foot. We walked mostly as we could take our time and enjoy the view along the way. Just remember to take the flashlight with you because its quite da - Loved the villa, the privacy and the peace and quiet. Ten minutes walk or cycle from the bars and restaurants, yet everything was available to you if you just wanted to stay home, and the villa was more than inviting for you to do just that. We stayed here in the last week of our two week trip (Bali first) and we really wished we had had our two weeks at Les Villas Ottalia. We will definitely be back.

On - the staff were fantastic we had many laughf with them our toilet got blocked at 8pm they emidatly moved us to another room the breakfast was great along with all the food we diddnt bothe to eat anywere else the beach was out front of resturant there is on cars or scooters there transport is horse and cart or push bike you can ride a push bike around the island in 1hr and swim on deserted beaches the locals were also very frendly
