  A rather rustic place. Staff were friendly, always smiling. The villa is not at the town centre (which is good because the town can get noisy at night),it is slightly further in and takes about 20 minutes to get there by foot. We walked mostly as we could take our time and enjoy the view along the way. Just remember to take the flashlight with you because its quite da - Loved the villa, the privacy and the peace and quiet. Ten minutes walk or cycle from the bars and restaurants, yet everything was available to you if you just wanted to stay home, and the villa was more than inviting for you to do just that. We stayed here in the last week of our two week trip (Bali first) and we really wished we had had our two weeks at Les Villas Ottalia. We will definitely be back.

Eating out on Gili T was very reasonable, we were expecting it to be expensive because it's a small - We were at first put into accommodation known as a Lumbung these are cramped, dark and tiny with almost a ladder going from upper bedroom to the outdoor downstairs bathroom which is very steep. They are kind of a traditional Indo style place my friend and I decided this was not for us and asked to change the staff were most amenable and put us into a fab newer room one level with gorgeous outdoor bathroom.   This resort is at the top of the island which while is about a 20 min walk into the town which is very dark at night ( take a torch), it does have the best snorkelling spot from the beach outside the hotel. The water was beautiful and clear and many many fish. We saw & swam with sea turtles just down a bit at coral beach. Food at Villa Grasia was OK, we had lunch t - We initially booked 2 nights but liked it so much we booked 2 additional nights. The staff is really nice, breakfast delicious, 4-5pm there is tea time with a delicious snack, the pool was great, beach also. Free beach beds, bikes to drive to the center and free towels. We loved the fact that is was a 5-10 min bike ride to the 'center', where all restaurants are. Tip for a good Italian place is Blu d'mare and a little bit more expensive but also great is Ko-Ko-Mo.

The staff were all incredibly friendly - it had the most informal atmosphere of all the places we stayed during our honeymoon to Bali and the Gili Islands and it was all the better for it.
