From the moment we stepped in to the charming courtyard, we could tell it was wonderful, and then when we stepped inside the door, we were immediately taken aback by the beautiful and warm ambience. The rooms were lovely, clean, and charming, with a spa-like decor. The hotel was well situated and it was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. It was a perfect place to stay in Honfleur.

  Vincent and his family were so warm and welcoming into their several hundred year old "fortress". It was beautiful. We are American but live in Italy and travel a lot for work and leisure. This was one of our favorite places to stay.   I had high expectations for this place and it exceeded them. Incredibly beautiful - both the chateau inside and out, the surrounding gardens, and the view. Christine is a warm and very accommodating host. It's wonderfully secluded but still easy access to Mont St. Michel and other great places to visit in Normandy (with a car). I'm - We have spent a wonderful time at the Chateau La Rametiere. The staff is very friendly and the dog Noby is just adorable. The place, including the rooms, is spacious, comfortable and beatifully decorated. The place is calm and relaxing and easily reacheable if you are by car. We certainly recommend this lovely Chateau on the way to Mont Saint Michel.

We booked La Mare Elan as a stopover point both at the beginning and the end of our two week holiday, and I can honestly say that all six of us were really looking forward to staying there again and spending time with the owners again.
