Good clean motel, very helpful owner (I assume he is the owner, maybe desk staff), we came after formal check-in time and forgot to call in advance, our room was available, no problems. Internet price is reasonable and it works well. We were allowed to leave the car and walk over the town after check-out. Clean, comfortable. Very friendly and helpful receptionist(owner?). Moved a comfortable!! bed in for us when we had an extra person. Convenience to Liebig street. We will definitely look at staying at this hotel again if we are in warrnambool.

The Atwood Motor Inn was a very pleasant surprise. I was expecting a 'plain' budget motel for the price, but discovered a very comfortable, well-thought-out room, clearly designed by people who know what it's like to be a traveller. All the comforts of home. Quiet area, yet almost in the centre of town. Owners are very forthcoming, with lots of local know-how. They directed us to a lovely old pub where we he a had a great meal. The front desk staff was great, giving helpful advice about where to eat and what to do in Warrnambool and on the Great Ocean Road. The bathroom was large and luxurious for a hotel of this type. Excellent accommodation, very clean, large room with table and chairs, two seater couch and queen bed, bathroom excellent lots of room. Very friendly staff. Would highly recommend it to any-one. That Attwood Motor Inn is situated in a street that was back from the A1 which meant it was quiet. Room and facilities were clean and staff were helpful with suggestions for things to see. One of the great things about patronizing a family-run business is that you feel right at home. The welcome and warmth more than makes up for a regular above-average motel quality stay. The hostess was really friendly. The room was clean and the aircon-heating worked well. The motel is located right at Liebig street so you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Very quiet location but very close to city centre. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Most enjoyable stay and will stay there again. Excellent accommodation, very roomy, great cooked breakfast included in a very fair price. Second stay for me, will certainly stay again. Highly recommended to everyone. I was terrified in the middle of the night by the sound of somebody having douche in our bathroom - it appeared that the water is collected in the douche and just split out eventually at one moment )) Seriously, the douche is not very good - hard to get needed temperature. No soap to wash with, No bowls or plates to eat off, and only a couple of cups...family room/ family booking sort of lends itself to more than two people, but I don't want to really complain about anything. The place suited us just right for a night. It was pouring with rain when I arrived, and I had to park my car a little way from the door to my room, so I and my bags got pretty wet getting to the room. All good!. Was only there for 1 night so there was nothing we could see not to like. Some cuttlery other than spoons would be a nice add-on. Nothing. Wifi hit and miss. A long trek to sea/walks if you fancy getting away from the car for a bit. Nothing. Very small TV's for such a nice room. The heating was noisy and not very effective, it was a very cold night and the electric blanket did help. Bedside lamps screwed on to the bedside lockers. Nothing. Hot water a bit slow but okay, room a little short on space, but comfortable. N/a. Had to climb stairs to room (no big deal for me) older people may not like to. No swimming pool. Firm bed. The door locks were a bit fiddly but once you get the hang of it it's ok. Room isn't sound proof, over heard some noise in the middle of the night... wifi was expensive. Nowadays wifi should be free. Bedspread looked shabby, paintwork looking tired. The bed was a disgrace. The matress was so old that it had depressions in it where the springs were virtually non existent. I have never slept on such an uncomfortable bed!. Carpet doesn't look clean Room overcrowded.
