The Hotel is at the centre of the town, near the train station, with a small but well organised room. There were flowers everywhere, in the table, and the window. The breakfast is tailored to everybody’s will . and the personnel very friendly. -

We had a lovely friendly stay in homely surroundings with fabulous breakfasts. We were also given much information in relation to places to visit which was very helpful for our first visit to the lakes. The Mews is very well placed for accessing trains and buses as well as a lovely walk to the lakeside. Throughly recommended. -

Annesdale is close to the train station and an easy walk to shops and restaurants in Windermere. The hosts of Annesdale are very friendly. We appreciated that they gave us (and our luggage) a ride to the train station. The beds are comfortable and we enjoyed our own sitting room and garden complete with a table to enjoy a quiet time outside. -

The owners, Simon & David, were very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of dishes. There were some nice little touches, like providing tissues etc. The beds were very comfortable too. I would definitely stay there again.

Extremely comfortable, quiet and spotless clean accommodation. The single room with the bathroom was just amazing, warm, cosy and the perfect place to go back after a long walk. View of the mountains from the window in the morning is a great start, as well as the breakfast. Howard is a very nice and kind host. Definitely will come back ! -

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. Fantastic hosts - great communication from the start. Very helpful, gave great advice and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Good location.... 3 min walking to railway and bus stations, very convenient to Bowness, Grasmere, Hawkshead, as well as other attractions. Room is clean and comfort. Homemade breakfast is rich and delicious. Orrest cottage is excellent value for money.

Before travelling I received a phone call asking what time I would be arriving. The owners son showed us to our room and was pleasant. The breakfast was excellent and Steve even offered to go and buy me rye bread as I can't eat wheat bread.. We loved our stay at the Boundary. We went for my wifes birthday and loved everything about it. We stayed in the Hobbs room with a 4 poster bed and gorgeous bathroom. The staff and owner were friendly and extremely helpful. All in all I highly recommend staying here and we will definately be back in the future.
