The owners, Simon & David, were very friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was great, with a good choice of dishes. There were some nice little touches, like providing tissues etc. The beds were very comfortable too. I would definitely stay there again.

Great welcome and comfortable room. Exceptionally good breakfasts - well cooked and served. Good attention to detail. Very short walk along the road to Windermere shops and restaurants. The 7 pound bus will take you to the lakes - stops at end of road. We went up to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, Wordsworth's beloved home. We asked about doing some washing and it was done overnight. More than anything, the hosts. The most helpful and friendliest I have ever met. Even if the appartment had been less than perfect (which it wasn't) it wouldn't have mattered because Graham & Janett are just so nice ! Very clean shower ! Andy and Jenny were very friendly and helpful when it came time to plan for the days we were spending in and around Windemere. The location was walkable to some villages, but to the trailheads a car or bus was required. The room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. Overall a great B&B experience!

Fantastic hosts - great communication from the start. Very helpful, gave great advice and nothing seemed too much trouble.
Lovely room - very comfortable with little touches including toiletries, fresh milk, delicious flapjack and WiFi. Great choice of breakfasts on offer - something for everyone with lots of fresh coffee and toast etc.

Good location.... 3 min walking to railway and bus stations, very convenient to Bowness, Grasmere, Hawkshead, as well as other attractions. Room is clean and comfort. Homemade breakfast is rich and delicious. Orrest cottage is excellent value for money.

excellent value and comfortable - Very friendly owners, I wouldn't feel awkard asking for something. Good central position and vey quiet at night. Roooms were very clean and tidy and beds were comfortable, something I find very rarely when I travel. Excellent breakfast and we were made very welcome. I would not hesitate to book again.
