The King John Inn is pub,restaurant and B&B of great character. We found it very clean,the staff were friendly and the food was freshly prepared and very good. Our 'standard' room had a good quality TV and coffee maker etc and the bed and bedding was of very good quality.

Helpful & friendly staff.Great for children-- lots for them to do and excellent meals for them. Meals for adults good as well.
We were a family group of 10 adults and one 4year old child celebrating my wife`s 80th birthday and the staff looked after everyone with great care making this a most enjoyable weekend.

Thankyou to Suzanne for an extremely pleasant stay. The apartment was luxurious, clean and well appointed. Box is a pretty and delightful village and only 6 miles from Bath, making it a more restful and quiet stay. Apartment is ideal for 4 adults or 2 adults + children. Beds were extremely comfortable and bathroom supplies of good quality toiletries appreciated. Washer and dryer came in handy too. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the dinner at the Conservatory Restaurant was excellent. The hotel is ideally located for a visit to the South Cotswolds, has a wonderful large garden and also has its own vineyard.

Everything - character pub - friendly locals - wonky floors and stairs - slept like a log in a big warm bed - excellent shared bathroom/shower. Breakfast to die for - porridge plus the works and plenty of it
bacon, sausages, beans, mushrooms, black pudding and tomatoe, toast and marmalade. All local product - didn't need to eat again that day. I'd give Sreve and Nicky marks 12/10 but mind the dogs everyone seems to have one :)

We really enjoyed our stay the rooms are lovely. There was nothing we could fault and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did try to email prior to our visit but I think the web site has a fault they might like to look into this as it might affect their bookigs. - Excellent accommodation, excellent food and service, and excellent friendly

- a comfortable bed in a warm room
- a hot bath/shower
- good, honest fare
- a warm welcome
I guess in this day and age you could also add WIFI reception to the list.

A very warm welcome and excellent service from owners and staff alike. Accommodation is tasteful, shabby chic style which appealed to us. Food was very good and value for money and restaurant was comfortable - appreciated the lovely open fires. Child friendly too despite being a pub and we would recommend to family & friends.
