Attentive staff, made to feel welcome, responded positively to all
requests, friendly atmosphere in restuarant, excellent food, very well
prepared with local fine ingredients. Room exceptionally clean and well
equipped, 4 poster room delightful. The Auberge is easy to find but its
location as a stand alone facility adds to the sense of occassion.

We were welcomed and shown to our room immediately. It was spacious and
clean with a comfortable bed and good sized bathroom with large shower.
We ate dinner there. The menu had a good number of mains choices. We
chose the guinea fowl breast which we found rather overcooked. However
the starter and home made bread made up for this. The house red was
mellow and not expensive. The breakfast was generous and enjoyable. The
staff were polite and friendly.

I found the hotel very cosy and intimate. The bedroom was absolutly beautiful. Will definatly be coming back. - Warm and friendly even though a bit "posh".

Good welcome, very quiet and peaceful. Were very keen to make you comfortable and at ease. Good food and excellent breakfasts. The rooms were like living in your own bungalow with door to the garden.

I traveled over to the area for a two day flyball seminar and wanted somewhere that was happy to accommodate my two dogs as well as myself. The owners were great and very helpful. A nice and peaceful location. Only a couple of miles away from Newmarket.
The breakfast was great. Really set me up for the day. A nice added touch to have a little bottle of Actimel to drink.
The room was nice and comfortable and a good size.
Was really kind of Wally to give me and my daughter a lift into Newmarket in the morning instead of having to get a taxi.
If we do visit Newmarket again we would consider staying again.

Travelled to Lavenham for a weekend break. It is a beautiful little town, steeped in history with pretty tudor buildings lining the streets. This Great House is set in the market square in the centre of the town and is a beutiful building in a wonderful setting. Our room was beautifully decorated, very spacious and comfortable and fully equiped with coffee machine & complimentary sherry! The icing on the cake is the hotel restaurant - the food is amazing! One of the best and well run hotels we have stopped in. Only there 2 nights wish it was longer. All staff very pleasant and helpfull, nothing too much trouble, food in the evening and breakfast excellent. Orford lovely ! too some extent in a time warp, do go ! Enjoy. -

When we arrived at the hotel we were greated at reception by happy friendly staff. The quality and presentation of the hotel was outstanding. My husband and I only stayed for one night but it was a very pleaurable stay in a beautiful clean and spacious room. Breakfast was very nice and certainly set us up for a good start to the day.
