  This boutique hotel is one of the best we have stayed in. It was an excellent blend of intimacy, privacy, utter quality, and yet neither snobbish or fussy. The restaurant meal was of an excellent quality which far exceeded our expectations. The location and views were magnificent. A perfect stay! - Everything ! Exceptional location. Gourmet food. Bring back the michelin star asap.   Extremely warm welcome and they let me park my motorcycle indoors so it was totally secure. Very friendly. Also (free) wireless in my room.   This is what we call a really nice, comfortable hotel, one in which you feel at home. Everything was perfect, and the staff are so friendly and helpful! We were sad to leave! - The staff dealt very efficiently with our wishes and gave us a very nice stay in their lovely hotel. They tried very hard to make sure everything was perfect.

  All staff were very friendly, yet efficient and professional. The room was better than I expected for the price. We were given a free room upgrade on arrival. The breakfast service and food quality/choice were worthy of a good 4 star hotel. pool and gym very clean and well-equipped. Also we took full advantage of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym. The breakfast was excellent and the waiter service first class. We found all staff very helpful and there to make our stay enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be visiting again very soon.

  We had booked an overnight stay on the way back from Scotland. Our choice was an executive room - DB&B at a very good rate. The room was large and very comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the countryside and immaculate gardens. Dini - The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse. The room, although small, was immaculately decorated and very clean with lovely white crisp linen and soft fluffy towels.
