The staff were exceptional in every manner. Each one we spoke to were very polite and accomodating, especially when booking out as we were leaving at 6am the next morning and they prepared a fantastic breakfast which was delivered 30mins before we departed at 5:30am. The owners and staff were very welcoming and ensured that we had a veryenjoyable stay. In fact we had such a lovely break we extended our stayby an extra day! It was really nice to relax in the pool after a long day walking and enjoying the activities and beautiful scenery of the lakes. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel was in a lovely setting in the select village of Wetheral, close to the city of Carlisle. Lovely walks by the river Eden, just minutes away and lots of history in the nearby St. Constantine's cell and the English Heritage abbey gatehouse.
