  Having stayed at the hotel before the refurb and enjoyed it the new look is excellent. Comfy and modern we very much enjoyed our stay, leisure facillities better then most gyms, excellent food in both the pub area and more formal resturant. Only 5mins walk from the town centre, enjoyed a morning of shopping and coffee!.   It is such a nice place staff very nice rooms so nice and cleaned to a very high level it beats tbe basic travellodge premier inn as they dont give vaule for money so if u are looking to stay at a nice hotel this is the one i have stayed in travellodge and premier in never again so looking forward going back again soon well done the staff keep it... vad folk säger » up from dave foster - Very clean room, requested a quiet room and was given a very quiet room overlooking the car park. Check-in and out was very easy. Good value for money for a weekend stay. As I only slept there and didn't have any meals it is not appropriate for me to comment on any other aspect.

  The service from arrival to departure was outstanding, staff were very friendly, helpful, nothing was too much trouble - we were made to feel really special. The room was spotless, the super king size bed was blissfully comfortable. The hotel is in a very convenient location and easy to find.   I am not usually a fan of Holiday Inn's, but this one is exceptional. The staff are friendly, the rooms clean and modern, the WiFi isnt expensive, the food is good, and the breakfast is very tasty,.The location is first class. The only fault i can find is that bed is a bit to firm for me, but thats because i have a very soft bed at home.   The staff were the most friendly and helpful staff in any hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in hotels all over the world. The rooms were very comfortable, clean, spacious and nicely decorated.   The whole experience at the Abode Chester was superb. I requested a balcony with our room overlooking Chester race course and this was provided. The maids replaced all towels daily, made the bed and topped up the toiletries and coffee tea etc. They also did this at your convenience. The location of the hotel is perfect, about a 5 minute stroll to the centre of Chester and parki - The staff were the most friendly hotel staff I have ever met. We got lost on the way there and the receptionist stayed on the phone for 20 minutes directing us. I travel a lot for business and pleasure and have never experienced customer service as good as this. The bed was also like sleeping on a cloud.

The hotel itself is like something out of a Conan Doyle story - ornate Victoriana and more or less tasteful chintz; a little overpowering at first sight but certainly impressive. The room was very well appointed and catered for all our needs, eg air con, large comfortable bed, plasma screen and very quiet at night. Also a beautiful ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
