  Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. Steve is a professional chef so every meal, breakfast or dinner, was first class and consequently we chose to have most of our meals there.   I thought the staff at Beachfield were very friendly and welcoming, and had a comfortable and relaxing stay there. The lounge/bar area was a nice place to sit and chill out with a drink, and the breakfast and service was really very good indeed.   Arriving on the overnight sleeper train at 8am on Saturday morning, we started the short 10min walk to Warwick House, 5mins into our walk the heavens opened and a gale force wind got up, to say we were soaked to the skin was a understatement !! We left our overnight cases and went to Lands End on the local bus, after a good look - It was me and my partners first time to Cornwall, and our 2nd yr anniversary, we were late getting in but called ahead to let Chris and Julie know, from that first call till we left Chris and Julie were amazing. The hotel is beautiful, clean, comfortable and very welcoming and the sea view from our room was amazing. Chris and Julie went above and beyond to ensure our stay was pleasurable.   This is an add-on to the Beachcliff Hotel and checkin was there. So there were no staff on duty. Entry was by code to the Guest Lodge. The staff did not mind that we used the sitting areas in the main hotel. Not sure if this is a good or bad point. Room was small but very clean. Weather was find so we did not send - next to very grand hotel (whi... vad folk säger » ch we had a beautiful meal one evening) but the actual accommodation was at the back of the hotel. It was simple but clean and had everything we needed. Perfect for anybody on a tight budget.

  Our host and hostess, Russell and Hazel, were terrific - two of the nicest, friendliest, most outgoing, helpful people imaginable, willing to go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable, easy, stress-free. Parking on the street was plentiful (in May). - Pleasant single room. Would have preferred ensuite but took the option with private separate bathroom as price appropriate. The Pendennis was extremely clean,comfortable and the proprietors very friendly. They were full of local information and catered for every individual preference in terms of food and drink. Food was excellent. They looked at options to prevent waste and were very organised-list to mark for breakfast the next day.

  Its a great little hotel just tucked away from the main road with amazing sea views and a great level of service from all staff - My wife and I felt pampered and enjoyed the relaxation at the hotel We also liked the views of the town and the bay.

  The staff at the reception was polite and kind, despite the fact I am Hungarian :) The room and equipment are smashing. Ideal for a one night stay or for a long weekend stay as well. I have been there for twice and the food is delicious - I had chicken kiev and fried camembert last year. After the long train or bus ride you just need to walk 50 meters to get warm welcome. The interior - I was in penzance for a funeral and I was booked for sun mon tuesday nights.we slept there sunday night and did not get up for breakfast just went to the grave yard when we got a call and we had to drive to london at about 5pm so when we checked out I asked if I could get any refund and the manager gave me one nights cost back which I reckon was pretty good of him as I had payed in cash when I got there so I was pleased with that and I will go back next year in the summer as the resort looked

  We were met by the host in the carpark, she insisted on carrying our bags (we didn't allow her). She was very welcoming, warm and cheerful...I don't think we've ever been greeted more warmly in our years of travel. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and our host had kindly included a container of eggs, a package of won - Gorgeous comfy little hideaway. Tiggy is lovely and made us feel so welcome.   Forget about St Ives and stay in Penzance at Sophia's B and B where Lynne gives you a very warm welcome. Penzance is much quieter and is within in easy reach of many historical sites and villages including the fascinatingly named Mousehole. Breakfast was especially good as Lynne is a chef who ran her own restaurant for nine years. Bookings at the main restaurants in Penzan - Easy to find on the promenade and near the amazing retro and sea-filled swimming pool. Plenty of free parking in the locality. Lovely welcome from owner, Lyn (with tea tray!) who was very attentive and helpful. Rooms are spotless, well decorated and very comfortable. Lyn has thought of everything; don't miss the bath robes in the wardrobe (like we did!) Great English Breakfast which includes Cornish speciality Hog's Pudding (yum).
