  Even though we were booked into the Sapphire, we ended up a few doors down at the 'Pearl' which is their sister Hotel. All rooms in each Hotel are the same according to the Pearl Manager, so that was fine with us. Our room was in the 'sub' area below street level, but still with a window to the outside so wasn't claustrophobic. Brea - I was very pleased with the service when I arrived, the people were polite and immediately got me an iron, which I needed as I was on a business trip. The room was quiet and I was most impressed with the bed. Very clean egyptian sheets and good mattress. An added surprise for me was the continental breakfast.   Trevlig personal, rent och varmt på rummet (har fått stå ut med andra hotell vars rum varit iskalla). +++ - the peace, and the fact that they were more than willing to post my lost phone - Staff is extremely polite and helpful.Location is very good if you prefer Hyde park and getting to Gatwick airport is easy from there.

  The apartment is 5 mins walk to Bayswater tube station and a minute more to Queensway station so it's really convenient to have stations that serve different lines - makes planning routes much easier.
