I love the view from our room at the back over looking the car park as we could see our car. The room was very clean and spacious and comfortable, was a bit too hot, but we manage to turn the heater off. Breakfast was first class, lots of choices and presentation was excellent. I love the peace and quiet. We have recommend this hotel to friends already and we will definitely be returning over and over again. The price is very good.

We only booked the Eaton because the hotel we usually stay in while visiting our son was unavailable. Although in future, I think we will be booking with the Eaton instead. I love this hotel! I come up to Birmingham and stay regularly and this is always my first choice. Although the rooms are usually a bit too cold for my liking, Eaton always is happy enough to provide me with a fan heater. Staff are so pleasant and helpful too! Absolutely love this hotel! Highly recommend!. The staff were notably very helpful, friendly and pleasant. This was front of house and restaurant. Breakfast was very nice. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel which allows easy travel into town. The communal areas are very nice, and the outside areas also; chairs, covered areas etc. The hotel was modern and clean. It had a good size bathroom, but the breakfast was the highlight. The staff were very helpful, even at 11pm at night when there was an issue with our room. It was resolved immediately. A great place to stay and a 15 min walk to the botanical gardens. My second visit - enjoyed the hotel; so much the first time that I had to come back...and not at all disappointed. The standard of service is excellent, food is good and the bedrooms are equally as good as in hotels that charge more than twice the price. I'll be back again. Genuinely unbeatable value - wonderful breakfast, service friendly and professional, great location, ample parking. OK so the room was a bit basic but all we wanted was to sleep in it. For the rest, superb. How they manage this at the prices they charge is genuinely amazing. Ideally situated for business in the city centre. Comfortable, and with excellent service. The menu provides a wide choice and is reasonably priced. Food is excellent. (NB: I stay in hotels for more than 60 nights per year, and will most definitely return to this one). everything the staff were all friendly the rooms were first class and wasn't it nice to have a freshly cooked breakfast instead of buffet style where the food is always warm and not hot we have to go back to Birmingham again and we will definatley stay at the Eaton. The hotel was excellent value and of high standard. Good location for us to visit university the following day. Parking area was an attraction. Great breakfast. First we were given an extremely noisy room, with some pipes running through the walls, but the staff was very helpful and they gave us another room without any problem! The breakfast was amazing, nice diner! Altogether, we left the hotel with good feelings!. The first time I have been pleasantly surprised by a hotel in the UK for a long time! There is none of that attitude you get at chain hotels these days. The staff are friendly and professional, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is excellent. Fantastic hotel, very comfortable. Loved that cooked full english breakfasts were bought out individually as opposed to the buffet. Fruit, juices, pastries were buffet selection only! Hotel should check out the cricket programme at Edgbaston. good source of business. Next time we'd like a pack lunch as catering at the ground is dreadful!. Bed very uncomfortable, you could feel the round springs as you can with cheaper mattresses. It was very hot in the room and whilst the windows could be opened which is a plus, unfortunately the room I was allocated had huge ducts outside of the window which made the room noisy even with the window closed, it would have been too noisy with it open. They need to change their preferred taxi firm - the bunch they used for us were profoundly hopeless. nothing. Breakfast to be served later would be nice, but not a biggie!. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. nothing to dislike. Dull bare grey wall opposite reception desk. That's all!. It was a very warm weekend and the room was very hot throughout the nights we stayed, safety window latches only allowed minimal ventilation - a room fan, and summer weighted duvet would have been ideal. The bathroom was clean, but the walk in shower was in need of some specialist grout cleaning around the tray. There were very limited supplies of complimentary tea and coffee sachets in the room compared to other hotels we have stayed in with similar ratings and price. The corridors were a bit battered and smelt a little funny. The double bed seemed quite small Would have been good to have a fridge in the room. Soundproofing. Not to my personal taste: The colour of the carpets in the room. Functions on Saturday evenings seem to be the norm but we didn't mind the loud music much and slept very well! Tea+coffee facilities in room very limited and awful shower gel - tiny niggles but would be nice if those were improved :-). The bar staff and the initial receptionist were not very welcoming. need conditioner as well as shampoo some of the doors bang at night as people come in and out, hard to avoid with fire regs though I suppose. Birmingham traffic!. I do not have anything negative to say about the hotel. Nothing . Nothing, all good. All was good. I could not find a single thing to dislike. Well done to everyone. In this atmosphere, I always hope for fresh orange juice.. Bit outside of the city center; however within easy reach of public transport. Nothing. The only thing that comes to mind is the breakfast choice. There could have been more options available. The tv didn't work and the room was quite small. No air con in bedroom which was very warm at night. Not enough continental items at breakfast probably due to a lack of staff during the busy period, although staff were really helpful. Floor tiles in bathroom room 204 need sealing. At breakfast we were told that the kitchen had run out of eggs! The chef must have known he wouldnt have enough so how difficult would it have been for someone to go out and buy some?. Too few staff behind the bar in the function room for hte party we attended.
