  Stayed 4 nights at this well-managed hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. Our room (junior suite) had a great view on the river and the Guggenheim museum. The coloured windows are a somewhat strange gimmick, but you get used to it after a while. We enjoyed being able to rent bicycles at the hotel and discover Bilbao at our own speed. Break... vad folk säger » fast includes some quite tasty bread! - The free bikes were great. Bilbao is excellent for cycling around and we managed to get way further than on foot. Staff were really exceptionally friendly and pleasant. We used their package that included the bikes and Guggenheim tickets. Convenient. Ideally situated for the Guggenheim and old city.

  our second stay at this hotel, the previous one being 3 years earlier, and it is as good as last time. The rooms were excellent as were the helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was excellent too. The hotel is situated about 20mins walk from the old town and the Guggenheim.   I enjoyed everything. The staff was very, very helpful and courteous. The hotel was wonderful - modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable, quiet, perfect. I'd stay there again in a second.   This didn't feel like any other hotel, it was like you were staying in someone's home - from the decor to the breakfast to the way we were treated. The double room we got was very comfortable and it looked like a little cottage in the city. The owner was very friendly and helpful (and spoke excellent English). The room was so homey-it was nice to go out in the rain and go "home" to a warm and comfortable room. The heaters worked quickly and the room was large and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good-tea/coffee and an assortment of bread products (and fruit and yogurt, if desired).   Fint hotell, fint rum - The staff were particularly helpfull especially when the remote control for my car was disabled due to the adjacent government which had a radar exclusion zone. - The room was spacious, newly decorated, spotlessly clean, and elegant.   Very helpful staff, lovely rooms, good food available in the bar and good location for the Guggenheim - we took a tram which stopped only 100 yds from the hotel. - You got what you expected from staying at a 4* and the hotel staff were very helpful.
