  Excellent studio room in the heart of Bilbao - ours had a little balcony looking onto the lovely Old Town street. Clean, spacious, comfy bed, lots of natural light. Very short walk from metro and tram stops, as well as all the old town sites, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Guggenheim is a pleasant 30 min stroll along the river, and the Centro... vad folk säger » area is easily accessible by foot or the metro/tram. The wonderful staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - highly recommend! - Really lovely apartment run by wonderful staff who were very accommodating and gracious to us after a misunderstanding with payment. The owner even offered us umbrellas due to the rainy weather! Apartment is spacious, super clean and right in the heart of Old Town. It's also very close to the metro making it easily accessible by foot and public transport. I would definitely recommend Arriaga Suites!

  This didn't feel like any other hotel, it was like you were staying in someone's home - from the decor to the breakfast to the way we were treated. The double room we got was very comfortable and it looked like a little cottage in the city. The location is very central - we were in the old town and we could walk to the Guggenheim and La Ribera Market. The day we stayed in Bilbao, th - We really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful (and spoke excellent English). The room was so homey-it was nice to go out in the rain and go "home" to a warm and comfortable room. The heaters worked quickly and the room was large and clean. The breakfast in the morning was good-tea/coffee and an assortment of bread products (and fruit and yogurt, if desired).   The hotel is very convenient to the Bilbao bus station, which was great for taking the ALSA bus as a comfortable, inexpensive, and easy way to travel from Madrid to Bilbao. Also the nearby bus station is the terminus for an inexpensive bus to the airport. And it was a pleasant walk thru the park to the Guggenheim. My room had two beds, one tv, one desk with a mirror and one bathroom. Wifi works fine and the staff were really gentle to ask if I was ok with the noise (I think they're repairing some things on my floor), or if I'd like to change my room.

  I am so happy because of this place. Personel was so kind and helpful. Pension was always so clean. I didn't have bathroom at the room, but it wasn't a problem at all, because it was next door and always free when I needed. And sink was in the room. Beds were comfortable. Tv with lots of canals and radio. Close to bus stops. Muchas gracias, saludo... vad folk säger » s!!! - Pension Vista was a nice cheap place to stay for 2 nights. I just wanted somewhere to use as a base. The room was clean and the toilet and shower close by across the corridor. It was a little noisy at night and in morning as my room was above a bar. The owners were friendly and spoke a little English.

  Simple,small but very nice room--bathroom was larger then expected at apensione-and comfortabe to use. Location good--two stops on a train fromtermibus where the airport bus takes you--about 5 trains each hour, andreturning to the center is 7 stops to short walk over a bridge to oldtown.   Pensión La Salve is not too hard to find if you do your homework. Look for it using Google Earth. If you go through Puente de La Salve it should be easy to get there. There is an easier way to go there without using the bridge, but you might have to find it there. It is about a ten minute walk from the city.   For the money, it was one of the most spacious and bright rooms I have had for the category. The criticisms that this place got was minor and I don't get it. One side of the room is floor to ceiling windows. Really light and bright. Clean and spacious for the price. Right in the Old Town close to bars and restaurants and you can walk everywhere. The outside of the pension has p** on it even though the name is - Location couldn't have been better, right in the old town. Staff were lovely, though English isn't really spoken they will do their best to communicate. Room was really nice. Breakfast isnt' fancy but it is adequate (Tea, coffee, toast, ceral and pastry) Entry is via buzzer only and you need to leave room key in reception when you leave.
