  We loved everything: the facilities, the staff, the location. The staff were really friendly. They were willing to accommodate you. We booked primarily for just 6 nights, and ended up staying there for our whole vacation in Valencia (14 nights). The room was very spacious and it was cleaned every day. Nice mini-muffins by the bed on entry and nice printed directions to sites and transportation provided. Great value.

  I ist just an amazing place :) You live in a side street (so it's pretty calm compared to the general noise in Valencia) and you are close to everytning. All what we needed was in walking distance. They rent also bicycles (we got 10% discount). We cycled to the beach and to the Albufera reserve (It was really worth the effort). Our room was about 46 euro per night, for a small room with double bed, hot shower, small balcony; no breakfast though. Warm atmosphere, good information available at reception. - The hostel is very basic but practical and ideal for those on a budget. Centrally located, it is an ideal base when exploring the city and the surrounding areas. I opted for my own bathroom which was well worth the additional 4 euros per day. I'm often concerned about security in Hostels but this was diminished in El Cid completely - I felt comfortable leaving my belongings in my room when out and about.

  Room was a fantastic size and clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also a good size. The wifi was excellent (the best we had anywhere).
