I want to recommend this motel highly, due to unfortunate circumstances we had to extend our stay to 9 days, the staff and owners were just amazing, they were so helpful and compassionate, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, with nothing being too much trouble.
The unit we stayed in was extremely well presented with some really nice personal touches added. The kids absolutely loved our stay here and we were sad to leave.

Waiora Apartments was set in a lovely peaceful bush setting, lovely timber with lovely bed upstairs, clean and tidy. Downstairs was okay but only for sleeping really not a space you would want to have to stay in for a long time. I loved the calm and peaceful feeling of this place.

The 3 units that we stayed at for 3 nights were all very well
presented. There as enough room in the studios for a couple to feel
comfortable and the 1-room unit was more than adequate. We had 6 people
dine in both types of unit and it worked well. Shower was excellent and
the bathrooms very nicely appointed with glass transparent hand basins
and very modern fittings.

The Avalon is one of the best. You can never get bored with the beautiful scenery, the fun watching the animals or the pleasure talking to Willem. Excellent room with amenities, good kitchen and four poster bed. Ideal parking outside and good location for town. We would recommend Avalon to anyone who enjoys nature or just wants to "chill".

The staff were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We originally booked a studio apartment but found it to be too small for a party of 3 adults so we moved to a 2 bedroom apartment and while it was the only one without a view we were very happy with it as it was very spacious and we were going to be out most of the day anyway. The location is excellent (only a short drive into Paihia) and the area around the motel is beautiful and well kept.
