  Besides the high standard of decor, views, best beds, great welcome staff at reception, rooms clean. Very inviting swimming pool, art on display.   Very unfair to make a reasonable comment of this question, we arrived just after 6.00pm had to be at our event breifing by 7.00pm didn't get back till after 8.30pm had take away tea then in bed to be up at 4.00am fo complete our event, so as you can see just a quick stopover. - I liked the big Spa Bath.   We had a fantastic stay at Debretts the staff are very welcoming and due the weather not being the greatest during our stay it was awesome to be able to walk the kids down to the pools and entertain them there. My boys loved the kids area and wanted to play there even in the rain.   It was clean, hotelier recommended the local english pub for dinner up the road - great recommendation by the way. Nice and quiet even though it was fully booked. Great location. - Hot spa in room was lovely. Room small but clean comfortable and all we needed. Staff were very pleasant and being beside the lake was great.

  My wife and I would like to say that the receptionist was very accomadating and helpful not just for our stay but about the things we could do and go see in the area - the resident dog was also very friendly.   The rooms at the Chelmswood Motel are warm and comfortable and in Taupo in the winter this is very important.   It was one of our most memorable trip to Taupo and the Comfort Inn has offered us a service and accomodation at above expected level. The owners are really friendly and very helpful and have given us an exclusive service during our stay.As a young family with a 3 year old boy we didn't had any worries during our stay and the room was comfortable, ... vad folk säger » relaxing, very clean and had all the amenities we need. Free Wi-fi , sky tv , spa bath and barbeque facility are few of our favourites. I would recomm - 1. Reception. Fantastic. Friendly and accommodating, even checking in at 7 pm. We booked that afternoon using the wireless at the local McDonalds. They upgraded us to a bigger room at no charge and gave us ice out of their own freezer so we could have a nice cocktail. 2. Lake access. It was not across the street from the lake, it was ON the lake. We did not have a room facing the lake, however, we walked out the door and were at the lakefront in one minute. It was so relaxing

  The owners are really friendly and helpful. The location is great - just cross the road if you want a swim in the Lake. There are also plenty of eateries a few minutes drive away. Parking was easy at the motel. The accommodation was comfortable and provided everything we needed. We had a room with a spa bath which although slightly dated in style was a nice touch and - I like the studio units with spa bath. Able to relax in the evening. close to the lake edge with a view of the lake from the balcony. Clean units with comfortable beds. Close to the shopping. Had everything we required for the one nights stay. Was lovely to wake up and go for a walk on the lakes front in the morning.

Reception was closed, but I called ahead and Claire organised a room, turned on the lights and the heat and had it ready when I arrived after 10 pm.   We loved everything. As the hotel was off the main road and slightly elevated there was a fabulous view across the lake and little traffic noise. The pool was a perfect temperature for the kids and getting them out was a problem. The room was spacious and very comfortable and felt just like home. Loved the underfloor heating.
