  My wife and I loved staying in a small and more traditional Japanese house, with the use of futon bed. The hostel was very clean and tidy. The meals organised by the hostel were delicious and well presented, with free tea and coffee and nice heated sitting area. The staff were very helpful and inviting. - Very clean and cozy.   Good value for money with a few free things thrown in like washing, bicycle etc. You have to look for it on the notice board. I wasn't told and by the time I found out, it was too late for me to utilise. - Excellent location near JR station and bus station. Supermarket and quite a few restaurants & onsen within walking distance.

  I totally loved this hostel the stuff is incredibly noce and they try to help you sooo much.   The staff were extremely friendly and spoke excellent English; they went out of their way to not only make sure we were comfortable and knew our way around the local area, but also called to make car rental reservations for us. The shared toilets, showers, and sinks/mirrors were also ver - The full kitchen and dormitory-like atmosphere. They have food and drink for sale, try to give you tips on budget-friendly eating and travel. They will help you order delivery and have tips and maps for the surrounding Aso trails. It is very clean and has showers and bathrooms, you should bring your own towel and dental hygiene products but they have soap and shampoo. I stayed in a bunk but they have private rooms too; the bunks had space for luggage and a dim light and plug for night time comp

  The indoor onsen was lovely! A little small but very nice and relaxing, gender-separated, and very hot! I could've spent hours and hours in there. The staff spoke English well enough, and were kind enough to let me leave my heavy backpack at the hostel even after I checked out so I could make a day trip to Yufuin. They also provide a good list of ... vad folk säger » attractions, spas, and restaurants to go visit. Great great value for your money. - The staff is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they were outside doing a nagashi somen/BBQ event. Met some very nice people there. You also get a free drink ticket for a bar nearby. We paid for a shared twin room, but we had our own bathroom. There's also an onsen downstairs. The hostel is very close to the station and there's parking, too! I highly recommend this place.

  The staff at the hostel are very helpful and provided me with useful information for our ongoing trip around Kyushu. They will also do a load of laundry for you for 200 yen but you will either have to hang the clothes of the roof or spin dry at the laundromat close by. Would definately stay here again. - Really friendly and relaxed staff made us feel at home. They also go to a lot of trouble help give their guests the low down on interesting local information to get the best out of Nagasaki.   The location is great, it's just a five minute walk to the station and you have restaurants and bars all around you. Kokage has its own little onsen that you can use free of charge and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Beppu itself must have been a much better place some decades ago - now it looks a bit depressing... Best things to do are t... vad folk säger » he sand baths, the "hells" and the restaurants of course. - The Kokage was very clean and comfortable. The owner is very sweet. It is a low key place. There was tea service waiting in room. It is not fancy at all. It was fun to wake up to the magpies and temple chimes at 7am. Great sashimi with excruciatingly cordial waiters just down the street. The public onsen by the spa beach is very nice and very local.

  It's a very welcoming guest house, 10 minutes walk from train station or you can call for pick up. There's a great rice field just 200 meter behind the guest house, very good view for sunrise and sunset. Staff are very friendly and 200% helpful!! Very clean place, they vaccum every corner daily in the house!!
