  The Prince perhaps shows its age but in such an elegant way. Our rooms were large, elegant and very comfortable. We were being budget conscious at the time we stayed and so didn't eat at the restaurant as we heard it was on the expensive side. The spa facilities at the Prince were very enjoyable especially the outdoor spa. - the hotel is clean and comfortable and the onsen is fabulous! there are one bath inside and one outside, sauna and places to wash yourself. position on the lake is spectacular but a bit isolated and restaurants in the hotel are expensive. they have a free shuttle service from Odawara station.

  I will remember this place as the one of the best I stayed in Japan. Staff was awesome and very helpful, room was big and we had a great view on the Hakone mountains. There is also onsen that is open 24/7.   Lovely, elegant place with large rooms, comfortable beds and a view of Mount Fuji. It is located at the bus stop, with the bus going frequently to the cable car station and to Hakone.   Staff is very kind and helpful, despite the difficulty of communication in english (common problem all over Japan)... Room is comfortable. The location is practical, at walkable distance (200mt) from the 2nd stop of Gora-Sounzan cablecar... it has got an Onsen (hotspring bath) at ground floor, open till 2am, and from 5am, with outdoor tub! Shuttle service is very convenient but you need to book both pick up and departure from hotel. Hotel staffs are very nice but they speak english very little. Convenient store is not far from hotel, just 5-10 mins walk. Room is spacious comparing to tokyo's room.

  Yumoto Fujiya Hotel wasn't super cheap, but very conveniently located, minutes from Hakone-Yumoto where you will have to change trains no matter what. It's a good place to arrive the previous night to have an easier start the next morning. The room, although not very cheap, was super spacious and comfortable. Bed: More comfortable than most beds w... vad folk säger » e got in Japan. Breakfast: It's not cheap $20/pp, but you get a choice of mixed buffer (western + japanese) or a Japanese restaurant. AC: worked great - Excellent location very close to the train station but very quite and relaxing. We were traveling around east Japan and this was the most expensive and poshest place we stayed but it was well worth it. Staff were great. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. According to my companion the Onsen was perfect. I chose to get a shower with the dazzling array of toiletries provided. As well as an excellent base for exploring Hakone we took a day trip to Tokyo which took under 2 hours by train.

  The food and services is amazing! The manager is so professional and impressive! Cannot forget the fortune white and black cat named "Migi" raised by the hotel! - The staff were very warm and friendly. The room was big/clean and offers great view. The dinner was fantastic, so was the breakfast.

  The hotel staff was very accommodating when I let them know ahead of time that I could not eat seafood. They served up an amazing meal for us where my fiancé got their usual seafood dinner and I got some good substitutes, like fruit and tofu. It didn't hurt that we got served this in our hotel room. Also, When we checked out, we missed the shuttle bus, the staff actually get the driver to send us to the station without us asking.
