  The staff was really nice. meals are ok, with breakfast in dining room and private dinner in your own room. Location a bit far from JR station but right in the center of shopping street so it's quite convenient once you get there. - Not too far from station and a short walk you could see many shops. Very convinient.

  The hotel is nicely decorated and is quite spacious. All stuff here are super friendly and helpful. The receptionist could speak English and Chinese as well. He took a very good care of us. Very impressed. If you want to enjoy yourself in a nice and quiet small town, this is the hotel you should book. Not too many fancy and high-tech stuff, but ... vad folk säger » warm in deed. You could borrow bikes from the hotel and explore the small town yourself. - Sozankyo is a well-maintained ryokan -style accommodation that is ideal for Aso. It is located in a small town about 10 minute bus ride from Aso JR station. There is nothing much to say about the small town, but it is nice and cozy (i.e. don't expect any colorful night life here). The onsen is very nice and clean.

  The hotel ower - Bibo, is really really nice and providing good services in free picking up us to his hotel. He also well prepared the Beppu sightseeing information, especially the surrounding restaurants, supermarket, onsens, and the famous Beppu 8 Jijukou (sightseeing hells onsens) to us. Guests are highly recommended to ask for his free pick-up service as it is quite difficult with your luggage to go - We had an amazing time in this beautifully laid out traditional Kyushu home. The entire second floor was made available to us, and we certainly did not require the use of shower facilities since onsens of a a phenomenal calibre are a few minutes away. The quality of the welcome was second to none, and that included an extremely convenient pick up and drop off from/to the train station and thorough overview of Beppu and its attractions from friendly owner/operator Bibo. Highly recommended.

  Yamada Bessou is one of the most (if not the most) lovely places I have ever been. It has all the atmosphere of a picturesque Japanese ryokan, with spatious rooms and all the commododities of a good hotel. They have one staff capable of speaking English (something very rare in Japan for small hotels!), but everyone is so overwhelmingly helpful and... vad folk säger » friendly that you will quickly forget that they are speaking Japanese. The breakfast is excellent, as well as a beautiful outdoors bath (rotemburo) w - This is a very homey family-owned and -run guest house (from since the current owner's great-grandfather). My wife and I felt very welcomed during our stay. Among the facilities are the excellent onsens (separate public men/women and another private one). The location is also very good -- only a 10-15 minute walk from Beppu JR Station which is the hub Beppu's public transportation services.

  1) Great breakfast - love choice of diverse Japanese food including local specialities; "Western Breakfast" a bit limited but this is not the reason why we choose to go to Japan, right? + great and friendly staff in the restaurant! 2) Internet connection for free, in room. 3) location of the hotel in the city centre, very close to the bus station,... vad folk säger » easy orientation in town. 4) availability of in house spa 5) hotel facilities in general + cleanliness - Clean and comfortable hotel. We booked a non smoking room. When we arrived in the room it was smelting smoke. We got a new room right away which was a lot better. Although in Japan it seems difficult to get a really non smoking room. Especially in hotels which exist a little longer. However this hotel is perfect base for exploring Kumamoto and surrounding.

  Bedroom was large plus big bathroom . Nice view of a bay .location was perfect in front of a main shopping square .A beds were not so new . The park tickets for 2 days was included in the room price . Very good

  Service was impeccable! I stayed in 6 different hotels during my 11-day vacation in Japan, and this was by far the best! The owner, Asano-san, was extremely friendly and very accommodating. I was sorry that I couldn't stay an additional night here because the rooms were full. Rooms were well-appointed - Had a great stay here. The place is lovely and has a wonderful traditional feel. The rooms are very large and we had a great view over the garden. We never had an issue with the shared bathrooms - no waiting. They have three private onsens, one of which is outside and again these were well presented and clean (and very welcome after a long day) The hostess was charming and the breakfast Japanese style and plentiful.   Very excellent hotel. Location is very closed to Nagasaki train station. Just a few walks, easy to find it out. Facilities in the room is very good. - The hotel is next to train station, very convenient to all activities. The facility is new and modern. Room with a view to the harbor was quiet.
