  The view from the Santa Caterina is breathtaking, overlooking the sea and the town of Amalfi. Only a short 10 minute walk from town, It is out of the fray and traffic of the Amalfi town center. We had booked a standard rate room, but had noted that we were celebrating our anni - Fabulous views, geat food/service, helpful/courteous staff, very clean , convenient facilities. Disney could not have designed a more interesting and adaptive property. The vertical distance from entry level to the sea side pool has to be 15 floors next to a cliff, with the guest rooms located in the top 5 floor from the entry.   Everything! The service was exceptional, the hotel was obviously newly renovated and lovely, and the location was good. The bathrooms sparkled, they were that clean. The staff were so helpful and courteous. They even arranged for an early breakfast when we checked out, carried our bags down for us, found us walking itineraries. With a perfect location, incredible staff, and very nice rooms, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. If you have a car, it will require a bit of navigating through the narrow street (make sure you wait for the green light, which is mounted near the bar at the end of the square and tough to see).

  This hotel is absolutely great! The location is wonderful, when you go down from the hotel you're right in the central Amalfi shopping street. The staff was super friendly and nice, really great service! The room where we stayed in was beautiful and totally clean. It even had 2 tv's! The wifi in the hotel works perfectly, very fast! We have greatly appreciated our stay at Il Porticciolo and this is most certainly thanks to the owner, Carmela, who is a fantastic host. Situated high on the cliff of Amalfi, it overlooks from select room and its rooftop terrace the harbor view and city viewers of Amalfi, all in one glance. It was perfect for couples, as it was very clean, private, and absolutely romantic. You can watch the moon light shinning over the sea from your windows. The owners were exceptionally polite and helpful, the room was beautiful and clean, the beds comfortable.
