The owners were exceptionally polite and helpful, the room was beautiful and clean, the beds comfortable.   We drove my little Fiat up and down the amazing Amalfi Coast and stayed 3days/2nights. We should have stayed longer. It was late January and there was still plenty to do and see. Winter is now my favourite season to discover Italy. Sure it might rain a little but usually crisp sunny days. Only real people about. No crowds. Very affordable prices for accomodation and restaurants everywhere you go serving the real, no frills, fantastic and fresh cuisin - I stayed at this hotel with my family as we were attending a wedding. Upon arrival which was quite late, being 00:00, I was greeted and offered a drink while I was checked in. This was very pleasant after a long journey, and exceptional considering the time. My parents had already been checked in, I was shown to my room. The rooms were bright and spacious, and very clean, with a panoramic view of the sea, and mountain side.   My partner and I felt so lucky to stay here. Luciano is so lovely and was very helpful with anything you need. Luciano's mum, Julia is such a sweet lady and she is there each morning getting you toasties, croissants, orange juice, coffee. There is the bar and cafe downstairs which is great fun at night. This Bed and Breakfast delivers an very comfortable room with probably the most fantastic view on the coast. Absolutely stunning... It's true that their is a flight of stairs to get up. But that's what Amalfi is about. It's worth it! Throughout my stay, I felt completely enchanted. The staff was so friendly, helpful and great. Make me feel almost like you family, the real Italian hospitality and experience. The room was fine and clean. The location, perfect.

  Margot (front of house) was amazing and came to collect us when we got a little lost trying to make our way to the hotel. She was very thorough in the check-in process and also put us in touch with a decent taxi driver to collect us late at night from nearby Praino.   Away from the hustle and bustle of Amalfi situated in a lovely position with a wonderful view. Good breakfast was eaten outside surrounded by lemon trees. We have greatly appreciated our stay at Il Porticciolo and this is most certainly thanks to the owner, Carmela, who is a fantastic host.
