We stayed in the self contained apartment adjoining the house and were greeted with tea and biscuits on arrival. Joan and her helpers couldn't be more welcoming and easy going. The place was both spotless and comfy in equal measures. Some highlights were the memory foam mattress, large bath room, great breakfast, value for money and offer to sleep

We had wonderful time. Joan is very kind,very good to give advice and treat everyone like special guest. We got bigger room with king bed. Room was cleaned everyday. Breakfast very nice. Very happy with location. It 2 min drive from Killarney,not too close to all crowd. Really nice. We'll be back for sure.

Glencar House is in a very nice location tucked away in the country side. The views and quiet location take a little time to travel to but I prefer this compared staying in a busy town. I found the Dromhall Hotel to be so relaxing and the staff could not have been more helpful. I really enjoyed the coffee breaks at no extra charge, a very nice touch. I was looking for something near the town which I could walk to and the Rivermere was perfect. Only a ten minute walk to town and another ten minutes in the other direction to the National Park. The price was very affordable and if you needed help in any way someone was there to help you. The breakfast I had every morning was excellent and there was plenty of it. I love my tea and the staff put extra in my room whenever needed.
