Lovely staff, great food, clean and comfy rooms, whole place cosy and traditional. Really liked it. Lots of parking, very central and close to main roads. Right next to paultons park if you are going there this could not be more ideal. I found the hotel quiet at night and just liked everything

This is certainly 5 star, I cannot speak highly enough of the comfort, catering, cleanliness and the host Martin cannot do enough to make yo feel like home from home. Every facility provided i.e Easy private parking, hairdryer, microwave, WiFi, power shower. , will even clean your shoes should you ask!!!!!! Will definitely recommend this hostelry

nicely appointed. It was close to the cathedral and the center of town.
There were nice shops and sightseeing areas nearby. The staff was quite
friendly and the pub had really good food and drinks. The stairwell and
hallways were kind of like a tiny maze but we found that to be charming.

A nice hotel, if you are traveling through. It was clean (except for the teacups, they were very dirty.) The rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfy.The hotel is in a beautiful location. The breakfast is nice, only if you do not like a cooked breakfast, there is not much choise. There are some serial, but no bread, nor cheese/ham enz. Only jam for your toast. If they would change that, it would be perfect. We went to Beaulieu in the New Forest (very nice!), when we stayed here. Allso Portsmo

to restaurants and shopping. I only stayed one night, but the room was
spacious, with a large comfortable bed, a very nice ensuite bathroom,
and other amenities one would expect, like tea/coffee and tv. The
decor was a charming combination of rustic and traditional (I admit I
loved the beamed ceiling!), and the large windows offered plenty of

Comfortable room, albeit small. Shower not used as it was an overnight stop with an early departure. Bed comfortable, better than we had at a chain hotel that claims a "good night's sleep" Very good breakfast served a friendly lady.

I had a wonderful one to one yoga/mindful meditation session with Etzuko and even participated in feeding the koy carp.
Our room was lovely, overlooking the back garden and benefitted from a mini-fridge. Loved the guest lounge at the top of the turret - I felt like I had my very own "Princess Castle" - it was a very pleasant place to celebrate my 50th birthday.

The staff were very freindly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
Good location on the edge of the city and within easy walking distance
of the shops, pubs, restaurants and other attractions. We only had
breakfast here but it was very good. I would certainly recommend this
hotel to anyone wanting to spend a short break in Winchester. -

Walking distance to the shops. A shame I didn't get the name of the other manager or other members of staff on duty cos they were all really nice.
