The receptionist, Aqua, was very friendly and polite. She made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room was very pretty and tastefully decorated. Spacious well-lit room with nice television. Location of the hotel was ideal for the seafront (where the new parkrun on Saturday mornings will be taking place). They put on an early continental breakfast (7am) for us which was considerate. There is off-street parking but can imagine that this is tight when hotel fully-booked.

The booking got messed up, booked a superious suite, got given a twin,changed to a exec double at a reduced rate, promised free wine thatdidn't arrive and got a massive discount because of all the problems butStaff were very good at resolving these problems with no fuss so stillmade it a very enjoyable stay - whilst being a large hotel it retained

Lovely staff, great food, clean and comfy rooms, whole place cosy and traditional. Really liked it. Lots of parking, very central and close to main roads. Right next to paultons park if you are going there this could not be more ideal. I found the hotel quiet at night and just liked everything

something a lot less. The Hotel is in very good order, a lot of
refurbishment, new carpets, the rooms we had were immaculate, better
than Premier Inn & Travel Lodge by a long chalk. As for the last
review about thin walls, we stopped in two double rooms next to each

Lovely food - carvery and a la carte
Rooms were clean and spacious and simply decorated with tea/ coffee making facilities
And the ironing board and iron were in the room on arrival, no need to call reception and wait - a real plus!
Plenty of parking and easy to get to
Lovely atmosphere throughout

Charming building and interior with very helpful staff that are very
willing to help. We stayed in the spa bath room which does include a

Good value for money comfortable rooms nicely furnished and for the price everything I would expect. We have been to this group once before and will certainly use in future when in Portsmouth visiting relatives. Will definitely try restaurant next visit as Portsmouth really needs good quality food outlets.

nicely appointed. It was close to the cathedral and the center of town.
There were nice shops and sightseeing areas nearby. The staff was quite
friendly and the pub had really good food and drinks. The stairwell and
hallways were kind of like a tiny maze but we found that to be charming.

The location of the hotel was perfect. Just off the motorway, but set in lovely wooded gardens so therefore not much noise. In fact, no noise, with window closed! Breakfast was great, plenty of choice and something for everyone. Would def recommend this hotel, and would use it again myself. - Pretty good actually, free swimming pool, gym facilities
