Loved the location - right on the beach easy 3-5 minute walk into town. Staff was extremely friendly. Beach house was comfy and roomy and decorated as a beach house not uptight hotel. Office recommended horse back riding that was cheap n fun - they rented movies also for free which was nice.

The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking. We will be going back next year

Everything! The owners and other staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was excellent - very clean and well equipped with a fabulous view. The food was very good. Our family were camping locally and we all ate in the hotel one night - everyone had an enjoyable evening especially with the table quizzes provided! Highly recommended - we hope

The staff were a joy and could not do enough to help. The food, both breakfast, and dinner which we enjoyed on two nights, was excellent. We will definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again if we are in that area. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel.

The hotel was well designed and the situation could not have been better, sat above the beach at Mawgan Porth, with spectacular views. We pre-booked an evening meal. Our hostess Helen is an ex-chef and the meal was sensational as was breakfast the next morning. the room was a good size as was bathroom with all facilities. Our host Phil is a bit different but loves to engage in a philosophical chat. Michael & Barbara were fantastic hosts, they made us feel welcome right from the start of our holiday - to the end. 3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

We always stay at Jamaica Inn when we are en route to St. Ives - which we have done in all seasons and in all weathers. The setting on beautiful,wild Bodmin Moor is romantic and atmospheric but extremely handy just off the A30.
Warm and cosy inside, Manager Steve and his staff always make you more than welcome. Rooms are comfortable and squeaky clean and you can be sure of a very good breakfast the next day!
