Loved the location - right on the beach easy 3-5 minute walk into town. Staff was extremely friendly. Beach house was comfy and roomy and decorated as a beach house not uptight hotel. Office recommended horse back riding that was cheap n fun - they rented movies also for free which was nice.

The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking. We will be going back next year

All of the staff were very welcoming, and work hard to ensure you have a great stay. Extremely well presented hotel and I love the period decor and the ornate wood paneling in the dining room. Breakfast buffet was very good, and the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna were extremely clean. It was a very relaxing place to be. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Trenython Manor. When we have reason to be in that part of Cornwall in the future it is likely that we will use your hotel again. Happy customers. Steve and Donna

I liked the fact that the 'standard' room provided a view and a Queen sized bed. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were cotton - always a good sign. - The general ambience of this hotel is based on a peacefull quality stay.We have stayed there before and will go again. Very nice walks.

one choice to stay if visiting Port Issac. It is about a 5 minutes drive

Travelled specifically to Port Isaac to visit the 'Doc'! Big
Australian Doc Martin fans. Village was quaint and to make it even more
special, they were in the middle of filming the new series!!! The
proximity from The Longcross Hotel to the harbour was perfect. The short
drive gave you a real feel for the beautiful Cornwall countryside. As
for hotel itself, we found it to be excellent, if not a little

The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist). Breakfast is excellent and staff is really helpful and efficient. Its location - in a quiet street - is excellent for those using public transports, as the hotel is close to the railway and bus station. Very good value for money.

We booked a suite and it was worth every penny, great views great room great breakfast.
We had a swim and had the pool to ourselves its a little dated and in need of some TLC but you would have to be a real winger to complain about this detail. The lifts worked fine but we opted to walk up the tastefully decorated stairs.

Stayed for a weekend in February 2013 and we enjoyed every minute. Hotel very welcoming, clean, nice and warm.
Restaurant is mega quirky and a joy to relax in.
Leisure area utilised, sauna excellent combined with dips in the pool (Which was a bit fresh!)
The breakfast was - delicious. Plenty of choice to be had both hot and cold.
All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will book again without hesitation!

The location. That there was plenty to do within walking distance. There was no through traffic., which made it lovely and quiet. Plenty of places to stroll and have a quiet drink or eat. My favourite was the beach. The hotel was homely and just easy to come and go as you please., with food at the car until quite late.

We went to Port Wenn and left Port Isaac. For us it was the
quintessential Cornish Port town - so much more than what is portrayed
on the show. The location of the Slipway is, oddly enough, across the
lane from the slipway which means you get to wake up to the sound of the
sea and its gulls which is what you would expect from a seaside holiday.
