Mike (the owner) was helpful in every way, showing us around and offering to carry our bags to our room which was very comfortable.   Friendly welcome and all staff we met were courteous and helpful at all times. The hotel location is fantastic with a short 10 minute walk into Grasmere. The grounds are spectacular with herdwick sheep in the field in front, deer in the woods and visiting badgers. The sound of owls at night and watching the badgers feeding was definately a highlig... o que as pessoas dizem » ht. Open fires on our last night when the temperature had dropped were also a bonus. Breakfasts were delicious and as vegetarian guests we had a varie - Friendly Staff helped enormously with my hectic schedules during my stay, very early starts and late returns also arranging for safe over-night parking of vehicle, they really couldn't have done more to meet my requirements. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection, hot and presented well. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable, all this and at a very affordable price.

  Great location for seeing the Lake District and our hosts Sharon and Paul were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in making our stay better. Breakfasts were good and the room facilities were modern and spotlessly clean. The view of the countryside from the window was brilliant. Happy to recommend this B&B to others. - Sharon and Paul were great hosts, providing very attentive and friendly service. Our room and ensuite were both a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous, tasty and provided many options. The location to Ambleside town centre was very handy, but a little walk uphill on the return. Would highly recommend using Wynford Guest House as a base for exploring the Lake District.

  This spectacularly appointed building is set slightly above the village of Grasmere. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The room was basic, (what we expected), but suited the purpose of a clean cosy place to stay at the end of an adventurous day. The breakfast was fantastic, as were the packed lunches and evening meals. The location is just sublime... o que as pessoas dizem » and peaceful. We will be going back again. - We travelled with a small child and were made to feel very welcome, with the travel cot set up for us on arrival. The hostel is a lovely old building in a stunning setting and a two-minute walk from the nice shops and cafes in the village. We booked dinner at short notice and were very pleased with the quality and price of the food. I can't fault anything!
