Located conveniently at the edge of the town, had a great welcome, with delicious homemade biscuits on the tea tray. Generously sized room (Ground Floor Twin) with very comfortable beds, lots of storage space. Electric sockets next to table and mirror. Good sized bathroom. Room clean and presentable. Lovely lounge with large TV.

From the moment we arrived we were made really welcome. Mike (the owner) was helpful in every way, showing us around and offering to carry our bags to our room which was very comfortable. Breakfast was a delight from the vast array of cereals & fruit available to the full English that we ordered on the first morning to the lighter choice on our second.

Great location for seeing the Lake District and our hosts Sharon and Paul were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in making our stay better. Breakfasts were good and the room facilities were modern and spotlessly clean. The view of the countryside from the window was brilliant.

Sharon and Paul were great hosts, providing very attentive and friendly service. Our room and ensuite were both a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous, tasty and provided many options. The location to Ambleside town centre was very handy, but a little walk uphill on the return. Would highly recommend using Wynford Guest House as a base for exploring the Lake District.

The location was ideal even walking up the rather steep hill became bearable after a couple of times. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were excellent and the owners went out of their way to welcome you and had a pleasant manner. We respected the other guests in the hotel and likewise. Fiona the host was very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area offering advice and tips of where to eat and giving directions to local places.
We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable, the en-suite was small but cleaned every day and breakfast was excellent with a selection of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fruit juices and a full cooked English made to order.
There was a TV in the room, which was very handy when faced with our good old wet, English weather.

The spotless room, it was ever so comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious! Plenty of choice. Ola and Peter were exceptionally friendly and cheerful and really made you feel welcome. Loved the complimentary bottle of water and biscuits that we received in our room on both days we stayed. Location is great, it is in walking distance of all the shops in Ambleside. We did a lovely walk to Grasmere while we stayed there. In the welcome book there's lots of suggested walks that you can do,

The best b&b we have ever stayed in, fantastic hosts( jeanette & Steve), clean and delicious homemade cakes on arrival and the best breakfast. We will be visiting again very soon and have recommended it to friends and family who visits Ambleside regularly.
