Great location for seeing the Lake District and our hosts Sharon and Paul were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful in making our stay better. Breakfasts were good and the room facilities were modern and spotlessly clean. The view of the countryside from the window was brilliant.
Even the 800 metre drive up to the B&B on a typical narrow lane out of the town and the subsequent walk down to go to restaurants etc added to the whole experience.

Sharon and Paul were great hosts, providing very attentive and friendly service. Our room and ensuite were both a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous, tasty and provided many options. The location to Ambleside town centre was very handy, but a little walk uphill on the return. Would highly recommend using Wynford Guest House as a base for exploring the Lake District.
Very friendly hosts, room very comfortable, clean and warm with all the extra little touches to make it special, super bathroom. We loved the breakfast room overlooking the garden and watched the birds whilst eating our breakfast. All in all a good stay and we certainly intend to return. We both commented that it was one of the best B&Bs we had stayed in.
Location was excellent. 5 mins from Ambleside. The lane at night was a bit scary being so dark, but in summer it won't be a problem. I wouldn't walk there alone when it's dark though. Torches are provided too which is a nice (and necessary!) touch. Breakfast was excellent - they were able to provide gluten-free products on request.
Sharon and Paul were very friendly. Location was very good although walk back was up hill.and dark, but torches were available to use.Very clean and lovely breakfast.
Wynford house is a great base for exploring Ambleside. I would recommened this Guest House.

A traditional English B&B. no surprises. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Close to the centre of Ambleside (10 mins' walk up a hill).
The accommodation was clean, the room large and the proprietors were welcoming. The Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice.
Close enough to the village for eating out etc. but far enough to be quiet at night.

We had room 3, on the ground floor. It was quite short on floor and counter space, so our shopping purchases needed to go in the wardrobe to keep a clear path to the bathroom. The mattress in the room was not good - needs replacing! Was too soft and both me and my husband suffered sore backs from sleeping in it.
