  The friendly relaxed atmosphere and such helpful members of staff! The restaurants food was delicious and very well priced. Only 4 beds per dorm room and as not peak season the lodge spread us out so we had rooms to ourselves. (One was given to a couple who I met in cairns whilst I was given a seperate one....really thoughtful). 10 main walk to to... hva folk sier » wn and beach. I extended my stay! - The staff are excellent, chap I talked to used to run a 5 star hotel but now just works part time. Has kept his customer service level though. Handy tablets to borrow at no cost if you need to use internet. Good facilities easy 10 min walk into Port Douglas
