  Everything about the Port Douglas Motel was excellent! The location was excellent, it was immaculately clean and the staff were exceptional. One of the best hotel/motel experiences I've had. Not to mention that the price was unbeatable! I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my stay there. - Loved this place! They say more than just a motel ... hva folk sier » and how true! Wonderful beds,clean and great staff! Couldn't believe the bad review and think it was some kind of sour grape! We didn't need a car it is so close to everything. Big thank you Port Douglas Motel! Well done.

  Clean, comfortable, large accommodation, it was great to unpack and cook your own meals if you want to. A nice easy pretty walk into town, bikes available for free use. The owners were just the friendliest, loveliest people we have met, maybe because they are New Zealanders!! - The owner Jim was very obliging and helpful. He gave good advice, boo... hva folk sier » ked tours for us and is a great laugh. We really enjoyed the pool and being so close to the beach. The room was very comfortable, equipped with everything you might need. Would definitely stay again.

  There was an initial problem as I booked a twin room but got a double, for the first night the staff gave me an extra room for no extra cost, then stated that if I found another hotel, they would refund the difference, however, the staff realised that they had made a mistake and gave me the extra room for the rest of my stay at no extra cost, also... hva folk sier » I had to vacate the room at 10am, but my transfer was not until 4pm, the staff let me keep the room for the extra time for no extra cost, the rooms w - We stayed in a very nice, clean king bedroom with a great colour scheme. There is a small en-suite and comfy bed. A map of Port Douglas at reception. Free internet on provided ipad. Great customer service - reception is a phone, I called them twice and we waited 10mins. Lady came and apologised and gave us our keys, then the owner came and knocked on the door and apologised profusely with a bottle. Brilliant location. Would definitely stay again.
