Just perfect for a stay in Madrid for some night close to everything. A bit small room, but always very clean and newly restaurated. Very silent, as long as the window is closed. Noisy city outside! Shower with instant hot water. Fridge that works perfect. Good elevator.

Victoria is just steps away from sol in Madrid; it's a perfect
location for restaurants and shops (and Metro) and wanting to be where
it's all happening. The price is good--actually it's excellent--
considering the location. The room (we were in room 8 just down the hall
from check-in) was very quiet. And given how the building seems old and
dark, the room was amazingly clean.

The location was excellent 1 minute walk away from the centre.Very clean,aer conditioned, staff so friendly and accommodating. Also we travelled with a baby and there was a lift which was great as we had the buggy.

I liked EVERYTHING about this hostel! It was clean, modern, and had everything one would need! A fridge, a built in hair dryer, they even give you shampoo and soap and a comb! FREE WiFi in the room. It's all about location. Within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go in Madrid. On a side street, so no noise from traffic. Huge number of eating and drinking possibilities in the immediate area. The covered market just around the corner is great for tapas and wine.

We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.

Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

The rooms were very clean, WiFi was very fast and consistent. The hostel is a minute's walk from Puerta del Sol - the liveliest area of the city, and 10 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. The receptionist was helpful, and recommended nearby places of interest.
