The pension has excellent views with two of the double rooms with view on the actric sea. Arte, the owner is an excellent nice guy very friendly and helpful. He drove us up the mountain free of charge seeing the overview of Dubrovnik. The pension is homelike and warm. It takes about 20 mins to walk down the old town and castle but must take a bus back to the pension. Arte drove us to catch the bus away from the place free of charge. Excellent. Highly recommended

Maria was a wonderful host. She doesn't speak English, but we were able to communicatue through signs and pointing at things; no problem! She picked tangeringes in her garden for our breakfast and washed our clothes. The room is comfortable and our room had a small terrace where we could sit at night. Our host Josip couldn't have been nicer or more generous. He picked us up from the bus in his car and took us back when it was time to leave. In the apartment he had maps and brochures available for us and he and his wife offered us coffee every morning! Josip's English was quite good and he was eager to talk and help with what we needed. Hosts were very friendly and helpful they went out of their way to make sure it was a comfortable pleasant stay. Extremely nice people. Spacious, high ceilinged and well furnished rooms which are clean and comfortable with an excellent host make House Boninovo the ideal base for a Dubrovnik city break. Located just a short walk from the old town (although the bus stop is right outside if you're feeling a bit lazy!), you can take in the beautiful Dalmatian coastline as you have breakfast on the Guesthouse's balcony each morning. Fadila, the owner, is extremely hospitable and arranged a transfer from the airport when we arrived.

The villa is up some steps from the old town. We felt that it offered a peaceful setting out of the centre of town, and when we were there the air felt fresher higher up as there was a slight breeze. The hostess was very friendly and the villa was attractive and clean. We were offered fresh produce from the garden and an excellent breakfast. Our host, Darko, proved to be an amazing host assisting us in any way possible particularly with our luggage to and from our car. We were prepared for the many stairs which added to the ambience of being located in the old town. The interior of the guesthouse has been renovated beautifully and our room was very comfortable. Our hosts Joseph and Maria were very kind, assisted us in anyway possible and offered us coffee and fruit each morning, as well as the pleasure of their company. Views from room are spectacular, beds extremely comfortable and location quiet but close enough public transport and restaurants and beaches. Do yourself a favour and stay at Villa Bakara when you visit Dubrovnik-we have returned twice now and wouldnt stay anywhere else!

The room was bright, clean, very large and well-equipped.The guesthouse is about 5 minutes walk away from the bus stop. It is close to Tommy supermarket. The landlady was absolutely delightful. We received a welcome drink and tasted her home-made cherry-liquor.

Our hosts were great, from early morning pick-up at the port to serving a delicious homemade meal that guests are treated to when staying over a week.
