Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel. Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom was old but clean. Shower was refreshing and the pressure was good.

Everyone was very nice, especially the women who helped with breakfast in the mornings and happy hour in the afternoons. They were the best part! The location was great, and the room was very comfortable. I will definitely recommend my family stays there again.

Very accommodating staff - Located in a quiet side road. Ideal to go shoping by foot. Nice stores (also grocery) close by. As for the rooms it seems to depend on which room you get: I was located 1 block away from Copley House and enjoyed the suite very much.

The landscaped grounds of the PBVR are interesting and beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. There was a new rug, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was recently retiled. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.

our family upgraded us to the carriage house suite as a surprise.Inkeepers delighted to make arrangements , order flowers and champagne as requested. They delighted in the surprise and joy for us. We loved that we were not only steps away from our own little private beach, but also a half-block walk to a larger public beach.
