Such a beautiful and well-preserved historic beauty, inside and out! The staff was so gracious, friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were homecooked and delicious; there were snacks available all day long. Owner had given much thought to little details that made my stay so pleasant. I could walk around a beautiful old neighborhood and one block to the "T" and feel safe and peaceful. I definitely will stay there again.

The Kendall has a welcoming and helpful staff. They loaned us an
umbrella when it was raining/sleeting which we truly appreciated.
Our room was handicap accessible and the bathroom/room were very
clean and spacious. This hotel has a cozy, warm, Americana style decor
with some very nice pieces of furniture and decorations that add to the

Very friendly staff.
My husband threw out his back, the mattress was too soft for him and he was not well upon waking up after our first night.
Front desk offered to chage us to another room or place a board under the bed, which helped somewhat.
Breakfast was very good, and cookies in the afternoon a treat!! -

The landscaped grounds of the PBVR are interesting and beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. There was a new rug, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was recently retiled. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.

We LOVED everything. We were very anxious, as our daughter was getting ready to move into her dorm as a freshman. The staff answered so many of our questions about the move-in, the campus, and general questions about Amherst and the surrounding area. They were friendly, very patient, and amazingly, they remembered us from our last stay in early June. That made us feel very special.

Unfortunately we arrived just after the bombs had gone off, the staff were on hand immediately to help and reassure us, they were extremely kind and upgraded us to a suite. Maureen booked us in for dinner at a local Restaurant and even sent us over her favourite cocktail while we were having dinner. Room was very comfortable and clean, location was good - will be back!!
