Very lovely country house set in a quiet remote place next to a loch.The decoration is very refined in a modern Scottish style. The satff wasvery friendly. The dinner was great (all fresh and tasty). - Everything,it was perfect!

I stayed in the attic room, which was very quaint and had a ton of character, I absolutely loved the room. The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views. It also has a bar and restaurant on site which allows you to sit, relax, eat and drink (with a good selection of cocktails,

The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.

Loved the Swimming pool and Spa, amazing facilities with wonderful views and Craignure is best location on the island - right in the middle of the island so short travel both directions to Iona and Tobermory, Bar meals and Restaurant were 4/5 star - great food and staff - We liked everything the staff were very helpful.

This is a great place to stay. Good location just outside Stornoway. We stayed in the cottage behind the guest house and it was immaculate with great facilities. Donald is a very welcoming and excellent host. Thanks. - The owner was a great man. Founf myself sitting with him for an hour on the 1st night chatting away about the island, mainland

I liked the very friendly staff, nothing seem to bother them. Tommy the manager is a credit to all managers. He worked morning to night and could still join in and get guest up to dance at the hogmany/new years parties. - Lovely room with sea views. Spacious and comfortable. Value for money excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. They went the extra mile. The atmosphere was calm, organised, friendly, not stuffy, felt at home straight away. The bedroom was comfortable, clean and cosy.
Given our stay was out of season I was very pleased and would not hesitate to stay again. -

We arrived a few hours early, as our room was not ready we decided to
head to the bar, there was a roaring fire and we were greeted by the
lovely barman, we ordered drinks and had a spot of lunch, which was a
simple sandwich, just what we wanted! By the time we finished our lunch
the room was ready, we were show to our room, and it was fantastic!

My husband and I traveled here with our 3 month old son and had a
wonderful stay. The island is so beautiful and we very much enjoyed
being in a remote part of it. We were in the main building on the second
floor, so we had a lovely view of the lakes and wifi reach our room
(even though I know they like you to become "unplugged" for a
bit). The fireplace in the sitting room was so nice. We sat by it for
several hours one evening as our son laid on a blanket next to it...he
had never seen a fire

We reserved two rooms at the guest house, which is conveniently located near the ferry port at Stornoway. The rooms were large and spacious and well equipped.
