I was made to feel very welcome/Karen and Ian were excellent hosts and the room was fantastic. Breakfast was superb and Ian makes what is probably the best bowl of porridge you'll ever have. He also makes his own sausages which are very tasty ! The house was beautifully kept and the room was very comfortable..

This is a great place to stay. Good location just outside Stornoway. We stayed in the cottage behind the guest house and it was immaculate with great facilities. A lovely friendly welcome, the room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Good breakfast and excellent value for money. Easy parking on front so no worries about no private car park. We would be even more likely to use it again now knowing how close it is to everything, including the ferry! -

As a first-time visitor from South Africa, was blown away by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and establishment. They all went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and special. Have to make special mention of Lewis who performed above and beyond what was expected of him :)

We arrived a few hours early, as our room was not ready we decided to
head to the bar, there was a roaring fire and we were greeted by the
lovely barman, we ordered drinks and had a spot of lunch, which was a
simple sandwich, just what we wanted! By the time we finished our lunch
the room was ready, we were show to our room, and it was fantastic!

My husband and I traveled here with our 3 month old son and had a
wonderful stay. The island is so beautiful and we very much enjoyed
being in a remote part of it. We were in the main building on the second
floor, so we had a lovely view of the lakes and wifi reach our room
(even though I know they like you to become "unplugged" for a
bit). The fireplace in the sitting room was so nice. We sat by it for
several hours one evening as our son laid on a blanket next to it...he
had never seen a fire
