  This is a great place to stay. Good location just outside Stornoway. We stayed in the cottage behind the guest house and it was immaculate with great facilities.   I stayed in the attic room, which was very quaint and had a ton of character, I absolutely loved the room. The location of this hotel is perfect for relaxing or hiking, it is located right near the water with amazing views. It also has a bar and restaurant on site which allows you to sit, relax, eat and drink (with a good selection of cocktails,... cosa dice la gente » whiskey, and local brews. The staff was very nice. - The new owners were friendly and trying hard to make all the guests happy; this included 'a wee dram' of whisky on arrival and a bottle of sparkly when our table for dinner was not ready on time. Very approachable staff; fabulous environs, warm, clean and romantic buildings and gardens. Loved the sense of history; staying in Flora McDonald's house.
