  Extremely helpful staff. Our airport taxi driver took us to the wrong hotel (Casa Melgar), and the folks at that hotel checked us in as if we had a reservation (they asked if we had a reservation, we showed them our reservation from Villa Melgar, and they checked us into the hotel without quoting us a rate, which we thought was normal, since the r... cosa dice la gente » ate was already listed on reservation). Later in the evening, we got an email from Villa Melgar (where we actually had a reservation) asking if we wer - Comfortable room with very good hot water. Staff welcomed us on our arrival and carried our bags 2 flights up to our room. We had excellent advice about sights and where to find restaurants and laundry facilities. They kept our bags safe after check-out until we left and called a taxi for us. Sergio speaks good English. Strongly recommended.

  Helpful people at the front desk. The solar heated water in the showers at the hostel was reasonably warm when we took showers just after 8pm. However, in order to get warm enough water, we only turned on the hot water faucet. There were four bathrooms in the hostel (two men's and two women's), and we never had to wait. The women's bathrooms were reasonabl - Great location, very easy to find, within walking distance of the main square, we had a double room with a nice size bed and a TV in the room. Roof terrace was nice with good views of the volcano & surrounding mountains, the staff were very welcoming and always helpful, we left our bags at the hostal at no extra charge when we did the 2 day Culca Canyon trek which was a great help and we were met with a smile when we arrived back, big thumbs up
