Helpful people at the front desk.
The solar heated water in the showers at the hostel was reasonably warm when we took showers just after 8pm. However, in order to get warm enough water, we only turned on the hot water faucet. Also, both of us used the women's shower on the first floor, as the men's solar water heater on the first floor did not work when we stayed.
There were four bathrooms in the hostel (two men's and two women's), and we never had to wait. The women's bathrooms were reasonabl. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
Great location, very easy to find, within walking distance of the main square, we had a double room with a nice size bed and a TV in the room. Roof terrace was nice with good views of the volcano & surrounding mountains, the staff were very welcoming and always helpful, we left our bags at the hostal at no extra charge when we did the 2 day Culca Canyon trek which was a great help and we were met with a smile when we arrived back, big thumbs up.
The beds were really comfy with duvets and good pillows. The wifi was excellent - including for streaming. Most of the staff were really friendly. The rooms were really clean and the bathrooms were cleaned well every day. There is a nice terrace area to socialise in and the communal kitchen's ok too. It felt very secure.
We really enjoyed our visit at El Albergue, the facilities are basic,
but everything is clean despite reading some negative reviews, and just
an incredible value for the money!. Excellent location, every touristic
site can be reached within walking distance. Thanks to the very friendly
and helpfully staff.
Their shower was great - hot water & good pressure (rare in most hotels in Peru). I had read here that hot water was an issue at this hostel, but I showered around 19h and had no problem. Comfortable bed & duvets. Good location, about 7min from the Plaza de Armas.
Really nice staff Excellent mattress with European style duvet and
proper pillow Great location Fast internet - 2 routers Room # 9 has
private bath and is 'Colonial style'; I.E. arched brick roof
(tiny window though only for air circulation - no views).
Great location, in city centre.
very friendly staff, helpful and informative.
Very clean. we were happy to stay in this hostel we have a good time. also we could leave the luggages safe while away for a 2 days trip to Colca Canyon.
Brilliant value for money. Excellent location close to everything. Rooms
are clean with good beds and duvets. There's a nice roof terrace with
a spectacular view and a basic kitchen for preparing breakfast.
It is a very simple hostel with basic facilities. The best advantage of this hostel is its price. It is near Arequipa main attractions. It has good view to El Misti volcano.
Hello, they upgraded us for free. It was a really quiet place. Close to
the center. Very good value for money.
really nice place. good value central with a amazing rooftop. i recommended it.
Clean, cheap, nice location near central place, friendly and helpful staff.
Most comfortable bed I've had on my trip.
v. nice building, helpful staff.
The staff was very helpfull.
Really comfy beds!.
Common facilities as showers kitchen and patio. Also great terraces. The location is perfect.
Good location near Plaza da Armas.
Nothing, its a S***ole. It could be a really good place, with a full make over.
No towels included. I did not inquire whether it was possible to
rent a towel.
The door had to be opened by the front desk anytime you wanted to enter or exit. This is good for security, I guess, but can be annoying.
It was noisy at the weekend in the rooms in the front of the hostel, but the rooms at the back were ok, so best to ask for one of those. During the week, the rooms at the front were ok.
Their managing processes are so precarious that can cause trouble for the guests. The young man who did my check-in forgot to write down that I had paid for my stay, even though he gave me a receipt. So when checking out, the owner did not believe me when I said I had already paid, until I showed the receipt. What if I had lost it, or for some reason didn't have it with me when checking out? It's their responsibility to enter such significant info in their records.
Showers only hot between 10am - 3pm Kitchen had pans, but no pots
were available.
Only one of receptionists could speak English. The kitchen is located on the roof in an open area where it is cold at night.
No window in the room we stayed in.
No hot water, it was raining so the solar panels didn't seem to heat the water at all. Also there isn't any cooker.
Our shower was broken and the bedrooms door didnt close very well.
Hot water only from 11am to 3pm. Room rarely cleaned nor towels or toilet paper supplied regularly. The walls are made of volcanic ash rock and its not even sealed, ash/dust crumbles from them and gets in all your luggage and clothes.
Everything about the place. Its dirty, the bathroom, well what can i say, broken toilet seat, a shower a dog wouldn,t shower in, filthy, old soap left in the tray, curtain that wanted burnig I could go on but i won,t waste my time.
