  We had a fantastic stay at Debretts the staff are very welcoming and due the weather not being the greatest during our stay it was awesome to be able to walk the kids down to the pools and entertain them there. My boys loved the kids area and wanted to play there even in the rain. Also The accommodation we stayed in (self contained unit) was perfect for what we required we were able to cook have space to work as this was a business trip/school holiday get-away all in one. great stuff!

  It was clean, hotelier recommended the local english pub for dinner up the road - great recommendation by the way. Nice and quiet even though it was fully booked. Great location. - Hot spa in room was lovely. Room small but clean comfortable and all we needed. Staff were very pleasant and being beside the lake was great.

  It was far enough from Taupo to get away from the usual tourist crowd. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is available on the grounds (spa, hot pools and good food), so if you want a quiet retreat you don't even need to leave the resort. If you have kids, make sure you bring their bikes and/or scooters. - The surroundings are lovely and restful, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Facility was well kept and nicer than expected given previous reviews I'd read. Food was very, very good. Would come back in a heartbeat!

  The location was quiet and easy access to the lake. For us, it was close to the Napier/Taupo Road as we were going to the Mission Concert in Napier. It was clean and comfortable, although you could see it had been renovated, as some of the fittings (E.G. shower, kitchen) were a little dated but was very clean.   My single room had TV, a fridge, a microwave, plates, utensils, etc. The balcony provided a nice view. The shared bathroom was for two rooms only with a sophisticated lock I have never seen anywhere else. Supermarkets are within walking distance. And it all cost me a tiny 30NZD. Very small rooms but they nearly had everything we needed and didn't need the shared facilities. This was real value for money and I was very happy with the accommodation and would highly recommend it to anyone.
