Dined in the restaurant, staff very attentive. I lost count how many times they checked that everything was all right, even to the extent that one sweet girl asked several times if everything tasted good...

Besides the high standard of decor, views, best beds, great welcome staff at reception, rooms clean. Very inviting swimming pool, art on display.
Like the way the Hilton provides good quality toiletries but not excessive in amount. Pleasure to stay there. -

Very unfair to make a reasonable comment of this question, we arrived just after 6.00pm had to be at our event breifing by 7.00pm didn't get back till after 8.30pm had take away tea then in bed to be up at 4.00am fo complete our event, so as you can see just a quick stopover. -

I liked the convenience of having the thermal hot pools right at your door also the cafe for breakfast was excellent value for money. Also The accommodation we stayed in (self contained unit) was perfect for what we required we were able to cook have space to work as this was a business trip/school holiday get-away all in one. great stuff!

My wife and I would like to say that the receptionist was very accomadating and helpful not just for our stay but about the things we could do and go see in the area - the resident dog was also very friendly. The natural hot pool in your own room was very welcome on a very cold night. The
Motel is position well for an early morning walk by the lake &
the courtesy bus is a good idea as the motel is a few ks from the center.
the Staff were very helpful.
Would like to stay again in the summer to make good use of the outdoor BBQ and out door furniture and watch the sun go down and hopefully watch a loverly sunset with my wife whilst enjoying a botle of wine.

1. Reception. Fantastic. Friendly and accommodating, even checking in
at 7 pm. We booked that afternoon using the wireless at the local
McDonalds. They upgraded us to a bigger room at no charge and gave
us ice out of their own freezer so we could have a nice cocktail.
2. Lake access. It was not across the street from the lake, it was ON the lake. We did not have a room facing the lake, however, we walked out the door and were at the lakefront in one minute. It was so relaxing

The owners are really friendly and helpful. The location is great - just cross the road if you want a swim in the Lake. There are also plenty of eateries a few minutes drive away. I like the studio units with spa bath. Able to relax in the evening. close to the lake edge with a view of the lake from the balcony. Clean units with comfortable beds. Close to the shopping. Had everything we required for the one nights stay. Was lovely to wake up and go for a walk on the lakes front in the morning.

Reception was closed, but I called ahead and Claire organised a room, turned on the lights and the heat and had it ready when I arrived after 10 pm. Excellent value for money in this busy resort. We discovered this lovely fresh-water pool on a hot day too. Wonderful! A good tennis court also. New bathroom,comfortable beds and all very clean. Staff helpful. Good breakfast too. Good situation. Nice drive to entrance.

Free upgrade to 2 bedroom upon arrival with friendly, courteous staff.
Great location just a short drive, or walk to Huka Falls and very convenient for Taupo itself about 5 mins drive to town.
Quiet setting in your own lodge with a nice deck to sit outside and take in the peacefulness and enjoy the sunshine.
The whole place seemed very well maintained inside and out with free wifi which is not so common in NZ.
Would definitely stay again on a longer trip using it as a base to tour Tongariro and

We loved everything. As the hotel was off the main road and slightly elevated there was a fabulous view across the lake and little traffic noise. The pool was a perfect temperature for the kids and getting them out was a problem. The room was spacious and very comfortable and felt just like home. Loved the underfloor heating. It was just perfect.

It was fantastic, will be back next time. We go around a lot of hotels/motels to see what's best. Really loved the friendliness of the staff. They accommodated our late arrival. Bar and pool were fantastic, plenty of car park space. Spacious room, many tv channels. Brilliant.

We could not arrive as scheduled due to a road blocking accident. Jacquie was understanding and allowed us to make the change without penalty. Room very clean and well presented. Comfortable bed. Nice to have a semi-private outdoors seating area. This was a brief over-night stay so did not utilise any other facilities, but would definitely make this our 1st choice when staying in Taupo in future.
