The Riad is modelled on a traditional Moroccan house where the bedrooms are not large but functional. Sue, the owner, is a great host. She gave us a tour of the medina and - What a wonderful find! This hotel is right in the Medina with a great view from the rooftop patio. You're right in the heart of everything, and the building is beautifully decorated. The owner, Sue, really took the time to make us feel at home and comfortable. It's like a boutique hotel- rooms are all small and different, but with lots of charm. We loved our stay at DAR - Typical old Moroccan building in the Medina - lovely Moroccan designs, beautifully decorated - room very clean - sitting area right outside our room, television and books in English and French available, complimentary mint tea, (when we arrived and again when we were waiting to leave) breakfast delivered to our room (without asking) and was lovely - friendly, kind, helpful staff.   While the Dar Bouanani was basic, it was clean, tasteful and well-located to the medina and beaches. A great place if you're on a budget and travelling with friends. Staff is friendly and helpful.
