Step out the front door and your in the lively medina and yet at night it was very peaceful except for the call the prayer which you would hear all over Tangiers. Our room was great. It had a double bed and a small sitting area which was ample for us. Our room also had an ensuite. She gave us a tour of the medina and - What a wonderful find! This hotel is right in the Medina with a great view from the rooftop patio. You're right in the heart of everything, and the building is beautifully decorated. The owner, Sue, really took the time to make us feel at home and comfortable. It's like a boutique hotel- rooms are all small and different, but with lots of charm. The breakfast especially was a treat- the service was great and the food was so good! We loved our stay at DAR - Typical old Moroccan building in the Medina - lovely Moroccan designs, beautifully decorated - room very clean - sitting area right outside our room, television and books in English and French available, complimentary mint tea, (when we arrived and again when we were waiting to leave) breakfast delivered to our room (without asking) and was lovely - friendly, kind, helpful staff.
